AVN Awards and VIVID
THE NEW DEVIL IN MISS JONES SWEEPS THE AVN AWARDS — Vivid Entertainment scored a “3PT” at the 2006 AVN Awards as “The New Devil in Miss Jones” was chosen as Best Film – the third year in a row Vivid has won the category. The New Devil” swept the film awards with nine honors. Director Paul Thomas won Best Director (he’s the PT in “3PT” since features he directed for Vivid also won Best Film in 2005 for “The Masseuse” and in 2004 for “Heart of Darkness.”), Savanna Samson won Best Actress, Jenna Jameson won for Best Supporting Actress and both of them won Best All-Girl Sex Scene, and the film was honored for Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Screenplay. After the ceremony, Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said, “We all knew the film was great, but we are absolutely thrilled that the judges have given it such a uniform endorsement. We wanted to pay homage to the original and these awards are quite a tribute. We’re even more delighted that this marks a ‘3PT’ for us since we’ve now won the Best Film award three years in a row.” The awards for “The New Devil in Miss Jones” were among 12 given to Vivid during the ceremony: “Jenna Loves Pain,” a co-production with ClubJenna won for Best Specialty Film – BDSM, the honor for Top Renting Title of the Year award went to “Jenna Jameson Is The Masseuse” and Best Anal Sex Scene – Film went to “Sentenced” with Audrey Hollander and Otto Bauer
