MERCEDEZ IN MAY PLAYBOY —Vivid Girl Mercedez appears on page 20 of the May issue of Playboy magazine, which carries a feature the pinup-style photos of Richard Dean. “Most photographers have tried and failed to re-create classic pinup art (trust us, we’ve seen it all) but Richard Dean is an exception,” Playboy reports. Dean reveals a secret about the making of Vivid Gallery Collection, telling Playboy that famous pinup artists Vargas and Elvgren “would start by sketching a naked model. They’d work at it until they had a perfect figure, then they would paint the clothes on. I take a photograph and add the clothes digitally.” Playboy adds that “to keep things interesting, Dean’s life models - Tera Patrick, Savanna Samson and Mercedez - are all porn stars from the Vivid Video stable.”
